Land Use

If you would like to use the land at Willsbridge Mill for an event or for an organised activity, please contact us for booking and permission.

Costs

The cost to use the land by organisations (other than charities, schools or community groups) is between £12.00 – £15.00 per hour dependent on size of group and the type of activity.

A cost to cover the opening of toilets outside of café opening hours is £10.00

We can also provide the use of nets, magnifying glasses, identification charts etc., to help you get the most out of your visit.

WMCR is not for profit community organisation and we suggest donations of £2.00 per child to help us cover the cost of maintaining this support.

Booking

Although we welcome schools, clubs & play groups, it is helpful to agree dates with us in advance as the site is relatively small and there is several other activities and forest schools running regularly onsite.

Supervision

It is important that children are always supervised and that group organisers/leaders have undertaken appropriate risk assessments.  Please contact us if you need assistance with this.

Children should be dressed for the weather conditions and it is advisable that they wear long trousers for woodland play.

Activities involving tool/fire use must only be organised by Level 3 qualified Forest School or bush-craft leaders or equivalent and they must have obtained the permission of WMCR.

Please ensure that your group respects the area – leave no trace of your visit.  Our volunteers work hard for all the community to enjoy.

Parking

Parking is limited, where possible please use the main car park at Long Beach Road (please check opening and closing times with South Gloucestershire Council), and walk the beautiful path down through the valley/nature reserve.  There is parking for around 6 cars in the lay by on Willsbridge Hill with just a few in the lane.  The road through the site must be kept clear AT ALL TIMES for deliveries, trades and residents
